When using CarePilot, you don’t need to select a mode or change any special settings. Just start your visit, and CarePilot will automatically understand how you’re interacting—whether you’re speaking directly to the device or having a conversation with your patient.
Two Ways to Record Notes
Monologue Mode (Great for Objective Information)
What it is: You speak your thoughts directly into the device as if you’re dictating a note.
When to use it: Use this mode for summarizing patient details, clinical impressions, and plan of care without patient interaction. It’s ideal after a visit to clarify your own observations, like objective findings or next steps.
Example: “The patient is a 45-year-old male with mild knee pain. I recommend physical therapy and ice packs twice daily.”
Ambient Mode (Great for Subjective Information)
What it is: CarePilot listens while you interact naturally with your patient, capturing the subjective details and conversation.
When to use it: Perfect for documenting the patient’s history, their own words, and your shared dialogue. Simply talk to your patient as you normally would, and CarePilot will gather the relevant information.
Example (Patient and Provider):
Patient: “My knee has been hurting for a week.”
You: “Where exactly does it hurt and when did it start?”
Tips & Tricks
Mix and match: Use Ambient Mode while talking to the patient and switch to Monologue Mode after the visit to add objective details.
Review your notes afterward to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Experiment to find the balance that best fits your workflow.
No Setup Required
You don’t have to toggle any switches or pick a mode. Just hit Start Visit, and CarePilot’s AI will figure out if you’re narrating (Monologue) or having a conversation (Ambient).
